Jalen Milroe Just Ran a 4.37… Whatever that Means + I’m Back

Are we gonna fall for the numbers again or can we be adults here?

If anyone was paying attention Alabama QB, Jalen Milroe, just ran a 4.37 unofficial 40 yard dash. Sit on that for a second. That’s fast, damn fast. As crazy as that may be, even crazier, people are going to view him as a draftable quarterback this coming May. Now before we get into all of this I would like to formally apologize to all 3 of my readers. A new chapter in my life has begun and I don’t have the same time to give you guys half-assed heavily sarcastic blogs like I used to. Nevertheless this news got the gears turning and I have time today so let’s talk.

Now back to the regularly scheduled programming. Guys Jalen Milroe sucks. He couldn’t throw a rock into the ocean. I wouldn’t stand within a square mile of him during a game of horseshoe in which he was a participant. I don’t care how fast he is, the tape does not lie. For space and time considerations I am also choosing to ignore that his hand size has gone up AN ENTIRE INCH from the Senior Bowl to the Draft Combine. Alright I’m gonna circle back on the small hands thing. Small hands don’t translate we know this. Will Levis, Kenny Pickett (Super Bowl Champion, respect) both those guys had small hands, both pitiful NFL QBs. How do your hands grow an inch in a month? Is he actively undergoing puberty? If that’s the case ignore up until this part of the blog he is the greatest physical specimen of all time. I don’t think that’s the case, so lets all just be adults here and react accordingly.

Is a 4.37 unofficial at a pro day even something we should blink at? I think if I lined it up at a pro day I could give you a sub 4.5 and I haven’t run 40 continuous yards since the middle of the Obama administration. Every coach wants to sell their guys, that’s admirable. I commend Alabama for trying to do right by their guy, but can we all just take a step back and realize drafting this guy in the first three rounds may plunge your favorite franchise to NFL fandom purgatory.

It’s good to be back. Maybe next time I’ll write about something we all care about.
